My interest in the topic of teaching ESL was sparked by my recent nomination from the Peace Corps to teach English in Eastern Europe. This blog is a tool to help people navigate the difficult process of trying to become an English teacher abroad. There are many good programs out there, and some bad ones too. I will try to provide links to some of the organizations that I looked into in my search for a program that was right for me. Some of them are volunteer programs in which you don't have to pay up front, others are structured programs that charge a placement fee. Some of the resources and information on this blog will direct you to websites and articles with information about job placements, requirements, safety abroad, and more.
